The house comprises two wings. The main consists of two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and living; and the second wing comprises two bedrooms and a big bathroom. The two wings are united by a terrace inspired in moorish architecture.
This is not a touristic facility. It's a second home we rent out some months of the year - legalized as an AL accordingly to portuguese laws.
What to expect: a beautiful design house that is a family vacation villa and not a luxury touristic place.
The pool's maintenance is provided by a specialized company. We've switched the water source from the property's ground water to the public water to address some complains about the color of the water in summer. While this still might happen with high temperatures and high usage, the quality of the water is 100% assured at all times. When this happens the company provides quick assistance and in 24h to 48h the water is cristal clear again.
The house has a powerful heater in each bedroom and a fireplace in the living room that heats the living room and kitchen. The house is coated on the outside with a DryVIT thermal insulation material and has double glazing. If the house has been closed for a few days, it is normal for it to be cold when you arrive. We advise you to immediately turn on the fireplace and the house will be quite comfortable within a few hours.
The terrace's deck was replaced in 2019 (not shown in the pictures).
We have 6 pools chairs and a table for 10 outside. However, sometimes there are damages in the furniture and we can't replace in a short time. So the furniture outside might change.
The property has 5000 square meteres. The property has a fence all over but we can not guarantee that your dog will not find a way to scape if he is that kind of dog.
The house accommodates eight guests in the bedrooms plus two in the double sofa-bed in the living.
Guests have access to all parts of the house except:
- the storage room connected to the second bathroom
- the storage connected with the pool terrace
Pool maintenance is done twice a week from April to October once a week from October to March.
There is no fixed time and day for maintenance. They will always try to respect the privacy of the guests. They can go early in the morning or in the afternoon when nobody is around. If there is always people in the house or if the pool real needs maintenance assistance they will come in anyway.
