Positive: The house is fantastic. A well restored traditional house, extended, modernised, with large windows. A sharp contrast with either fully traditional houses with tiny windows, or ugly brand new scandinavian constructions looking out of place. Within the house, the ammenities were great. At first, we laughed at the double shower in the main bathroom -- but now we want the same at home. The view from the living room is, as all guests seem to agree, amazing. Looking out one morning, we even saw dolphins (but alas no sperm whales). Despite being on the North coast of the island, there can be sun in the morning (but it was generally rather cloudy during our entire stay). We had quite big storms, but we felt secure. The wind made some noise but the roof and windows didn't rattle even a bit. The kitchen is well equipped, and we did not miss a thing. But for those who don't like cooking, there's also a nice restaurant (Tasca). In fact, we also fell in love with the village itself. During our stay, we visited many others on the island and did not find any as cute and as convenient as Prainha. Within the village, the house is ideally located, just a few meters from the ocean and a few hundreds of meter from a well-provided supermarket (one does not need to bring anything from a larger village/city). We did several nice hikes leaving right from the village. We did not meet in person the host (Hugo), nor his local helper (Vânia), but they were always very responsive and friendly.

Negative: The driveway is a little steep, but we quickly got the hang of it and one can also park elsewhere. In winter, locked indoor, it could feel a little crowded, but as a couple, we had plenty of space for ourselves. Those are really desperate attempt at finding negative points, because we really found the house and the village perfect. We will return!
