The house has one bedroom with twin beds, a bathroom, kitchenette and living-dining room (with an additional two full-sized single beds that serve the sofa during the day). There is also a private patio with built in BBQ and outdoor furniture.
The house is located in a quiet part of the resort, surrounded by well-tended tropical gardens where you can roam freely. Just a 2-minute walk from the shared pool, tennis court, bike hire, mini club, playground, outdoor fitness area, bars, restaurants and reception.
The resort adjoins Barril beach, on the Island of Tavira, originally a fishing station housing approximately 80 fishermen and their families during the tuna season from April to September. The old houses have been tastefully converted into bars, shops, eateries and washroom facilities. The beach has enjoyed the blue flag award for many years. Sun loungers, umbrellas etc. are available for rent on the beach from Easter through to the end of the summer season. There is also a water sports center with sailboats, hobie cats, kayaks, windsurfs and pedalos available for hire during the summer months. Barril beach can either be reached on foot, a leisurely 10 minute stroll along the causeway through the nature reserve, or by miniature railway, the train runs 365 days a year and provides a non-stop service throughout the day (free train passes are included with the rental).
It is less than 2km to the nearby fishing village of Santa Luzia with some of the best fish / seafood restaurants in the Algarve.
Tavira is a 5 km drive away (there is also a public bus service from the resort) and is a wonderful historic town with highlights including the castle, Roman bridge, central square, old market and camera obscura.
For golf lovers there are several courses just 15-20 minutes by car from the house.
The property has been inspected and complies with Portuguese fire and safety legislation. Our Tourism of Portugal registration number is 297 / AL.
This property is ideally located within the holiday village, in a quiet area just a hundred meters from all the resort activities and facilities. The beach is within walking distance and you are on the doorstep of a nature reserve. Plenty to see and do in the surrounding area for the more adventurous or just enjoy the fact that you have everything you need for a perfect holiday at your disposal within the resort!

You can rent bicycles via the reception. Large choice of bikes available including tandems, trailers, children's bikes, bike seats and electric bikes. Cycle paths from Pedras to explore area.
Tennis court less than 100m from the house for guests to use. Private lessons can be booked via reception or I can provide details of private teacher.
For golf lovers there are several 18-hole courses nearby - our closest are Benamor 15 min drive along the N125 (11km) or Quinta de Cima and Quinta da Ria 20 min drive (16km) also along the N125 in the direction of Vila Real de Santo Antonio and Spain. A little further on is the prestigious Monte Rei Golf and Country Club (25 min drive, 22 km) or the Castro Marim Golf and Country Club (30km, 35 mins).
