Positive: Lovely apartment (Madeira) with two private terraces, a small kitchen (no dishwasher), a bathroom with walk in shower, two basins and a separate toilet and a separate bedroom (small double bed). A very small TV in the lounge room. Security shutters on all windows and doors. The terraces have lovely views over Ferragudo. The property has a lovely pool that you can have a decent swim in and relax around. Excellent location in the heart of this small town. By the way, there’s a front entrance and a rear entrance. Make sure you come in through the front entrance unless you want to schlep your luggage up numerous stairs. Miguel, the owner, and Irina were great. Thank you for the upgrade, it was much appreciated and thank you very much for helping us out with our little problem. That was very kind of you.

Negative: A very noisy neighbour opposite our apartment who played loud music till all hours of the night on our first two nights. Suggestions that would have been welcome: Shelf in the bathroom to put your things on would have been extremely handy as there’s not really much space around the basins. The spaces around the basins also gets wet when you wash your hands or face. Slightly larger and plusher towels. A couple of face towels would be handy as well. Scissors in the kitchen would have been handy. A more comfortable couch in the lounge room. This feedback relates to the town of FERRAGUDO: Be aware that there are no taxis and public transport is pretty sketchy, so you either walk or book an Uber. There’s also a water taxi which only goes to a couple of specific locations. They start at 10:00.
