Positive: This review comes from someone with experience in five-star hospitality in the UAE, and I have to say nothing can quite beat the warmth and hospitality of the reception staff at this hotel. They were truly amazing—helpful, attentive, and always checking in on us. From giving detailed tips on local restaurants to accommodating every request we had, they made us feel genuinely comfortable. We’d absolutely come back and recommend it to any friends visiting Porto. The hotel itself is older but has a beautiful, unique boutique design, which we really enjoyed over Christmas. Plus, the location is perfect—just a five-minute walk from a metro station, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets around.

Negative: It’s not perfect: the toilet seat could use an upgrade, and the bed was a bit soft for my husband, though fine for me. The breakfast could see a slight improvement too. In our opinion, the temperature of the steam room was too high. But overall, it was amazing value for money and a lovely stay.
