Positive: During the Chiang Mai festival, we stayed here for 4 nights. The owner was incredibly kind and even drove us to the location where we rented our scooter. You can always message him to rent a scooter or ask what there is to do in the area. He replies instantly and is genuinely sweet and friendly. For me, his hospitality deserves a solid 10 out of 10. What I also liked: There were two showers and toilets available. On the top floor, you even have your own shower with hot water. PS: there is a nice cute. Coffee/breakfast/ 2 houses to the left. The name is IS CAFE (super cute !!!) Shampoo and a towel were provided.

Negative: At the time, this was the cheapest accommodation—we paid €48 in total. We know we paid a bit extra because it was the annual festival. I checked briefly and right now the rooms are listed online for €12–14. I had booked a double room but didn’t enter a second name. The owner told us—after I messaged him the day before our arrival—that he added an extra bed because he saw I was coming with someone and this was free. We appreciated the gesture, it was kind and thoughtful. However, looking at the reservation, I had already paid for a double room. If you look closely at the photo, the second “bed” was only 1.40m wide, so we couldn’t actually sleep on it. To the owner: please don’t advertise this as a true double room. We slept here for 4 nights, both in a single bed, because the second bed wasn’t a proper one… see photo attached. --- Tips for the owner: • Consider investing in new beds. The mattress was extremely hard—I’m used to sleeping on a firm mattress at home, but this felt like a wooden plank. • For guests staying more than a few days, it would be nice if the shared spaces were maintained and cleaned. A little upkeep keeps everything fresh. • If you furnish the room as a proper double, the price is absolutely worth it. But you need to give the people a real bed • The bedding and pillow had worn-out spots. I personally think the sheets had been washed, but the wear and tear made them look unclean. It gives a tired impression, so a tip would be to invest in new linens—this would solve the issue. If you’re looking for a budget room, this is the right place.
